Of Dedicated Tutors

Meet Beverly Chattin Founder, Director, and Active Tutor

Bev founded A Tutor's Touch in 2008 on a simple philosophy: learning is like building a tower of blocks. A strong foundation is essential for continued growth. A Tutor's Touch is a manifestation of her mission to strengthen the foundation so students can keep building.

An educator and foundational Middle School Math Catch-Up Specialist, Bev specializes in identifying foundational gaps, breaking difficult concepts into manageable steps, and helping students build the skills they need to move forward. Bev personally teaches the students in the Middle School Math Academy.

As Director of A Tutor’s Touch, she also oversees the tutoring team and helps match students of all levels and subjects with carefully selected tutors based on their academic needs, learning styles, personalities, and goals.

As you and your student begin your journey to success through A Tutors Touch, Beverly will be there at every step to ensure you receive the best experience possible.

Our Tutoring Team

Degrees matter. But they aren't the only thing that makes someone an effective tutor. We look for tutors who are knowledgeable, dependable, encouraging, and able to teach, not simply know, their subject. Most importantly, we look for people who genuinely care about helping students succeed. There's no single type of person who makes a great tutor, and we think that's a good thing. Our tutoring team brings together people with a wide range of educational, professional, and life experiences, including:

Experienced & Retired Educators
Teachers and education professionals who bring years of classroom and instructional experience.

Professionals & Retired Professionals
People with real-world expertise who enjoy sharing their knowledge and investing in the next generation.

Military Veterans
Tutors who bring valuable professional experience, leadership, discipline, and a commitment to helping others succeed.

College Students
Students pursuing degrees in education, mathematics, science, and other related fields who bring strong subject knowledge and a natural ability to connect with their students.

Stay-at-Home Parents & Talented Educators
We support parents who choose to stay home with their children while still using their talents to make a meaningful impact on the education and lives of other students.
